After Your Scheduled Interruption!

And we're back! Though, this should come as no surprise to you, beloved Isidrites. Anyone who's lived a day in our beloved backwater town must know about Mayoral Ratification #538 (affectionately dubbed by our town's laws enthusiasts as "Mr. 538"), which prohibits the proliferation of any media coverage during the current Mayor's re-election campaign!

That's right! As per the law, The Conversationalist has faithfully been providing you with a stream of non-coverage and anti-voyeurism throughout this month's election season. Exciting!

Anyway, now that the mandatory mayoral censorship period has passed, The Conversationalist is excited to bring you the hottest scoops on Mayor Dunwal's Daring Re-Election Campaign. Right after the mandatory post-mandatory mayoral censorship period censorship period has ended, of course! Meanwhile, tide yourself over with some quick updates on the campaign trail:

1) The esteemed Dunwal is quite literally against some stiff competition this year, facing a sole challenger in the form of District Attorney Antonious Stiff, who rose to prominence after his daring non-defense of the Notorious Sewer Bandit last month. Yes, he is a mannequin. No, this should not matter in this day and age. Shame on you for thinking otherwise.

2) Dunwal currently faces criticism over radicalized Wildcat Discriminatory policies and Hydroterrorist Scares that have dotted his administration, in particular during the period of the scheduled blackout. Could this cost him the re-election?

3) Stiff, on the other hand, is quickly becoming popular among the marginalized majority of San Isidoro, with his bold promises to do "exactly nothing". Surveys show 100% voter confidence on his ability to fulfill said promise.

4) The San Isidoro Election Logistical Committee has yet to provide an answer on how voting will happen in public in the midst of the stringent Wildcat Rights Protest Movement happening right as we speak (write!).

More news as we are permitted to.

Ignorance is Bliss,
